Building an all star cap-table with “smart money” is important for startups and VCs. I couldn’t be more excited to have Juan Pablo Jimenez Isaza as an LP (investor) in NuMundo Ventures.
He is an “all star” LatAm angel investor with over 30 investments, including a few with me (e.g., OneCarNow!, Ruedata, OZON , Prometeo OpenBanking).
He also is an all-star go-to-market operator with extensive B2B software and tech sales experience. Today he is head of LatAm for Lynx Tech which uses AI to combat financial crimes and just raised a Series A round of funding.
He shares my passion to meet with founders and roll up his sleeves to help. He meets with founders at whatever times he can including waking up at 6:30 in the morning to meet with a founder he backs in Uruguay.
JP also provides very direct feedback and coaching to founders in a very high energy and positive way that motivates CEOs even if it can be tough love.
Like me, his family is intertwined with his work.
He and his wife, a very successful executive, had to travel across LatAm for work along with their two sons. As a result, they created a travel blog on Instagram called Mochilapa4. With 25K followers he trumps my old account I created for my cats 😹. (links below)
