After several weeks of travel to NYC, Miami, and Mexico, I am back home looking to build more bridges between Silicon Valley and LatAm.
Fernando Franco is one of the original cross border community builders here in the Bay Area. He came from Mexico and early in his career he worked to bring investment from the Bay Area to Mexico 🇲🇽.
Over the years his roles evolved and eventually focused on increasing ties between LatAm based businesses and Silicon Valley. Fernando helped LatAm founders and businesses meet with world class tech companies and executives.
Ironically I have found the LatAm tech community in the Bay Area is extremely fragmented. Fernando agreed and shared his perspectives on why and what could be done to connect this group.
I will be working closely with Fernando in the coming months to change this and bring this talented community together.
