I ended my trip to Monterrey with Mauricio Valdes and the team at Buildpeer
I came to their office for another meeting and then stumbled upon what looked like a coworking space in San Francisco.
Buildpeer is software to simplify and accelerate construction projects, like the “Asana for construction.”
Within a few minutes I learned Mauricio Valdes and I were connected on several levels. He had worked on building a new hotel near my home in Menlo Park, has my friend Nelson Koen as an advisor, and has had experiences working in Silicon Valley and Latam.
There is no denying that Mexico City is the hub of the startup community in Spanish speaking Latin America, but I am super impressed with the entrepreneurial talent and energy in Monterrey.
