Fascinating Miami morning with Daniel Bilbao and Alejandro Echeverri, MBA and a very young future entrepreneur 😃. I first heard about Daniel when my friend Rich Wong and the team at Accel backed Truora Inc. about 4 years ago.
I was just starting to invest in Latin American startups and knowing Rich was willing to back a company in the region meant this team had to be strong.
Daniel is from Cali Colombia 🇨🇴 and for the last decade has been in the US and been part of a few startups. Aside from being the co-founder and CEO of Truora, he like me has passion to support founders in Latin America.
From helping the team at Rappi build financial models when they were at Y Combinator to working with his brother ◽️Andres Bilbao to support founders at the earliest stages (e.g., Santiago Aparicio, Angela Acosta ) , Daniel Bilbao tries to share what he has learned with other founders.
Alejandro Echeverri, MBA and Daniel have known each other since they were in elementary school in Cali. Alejandro has worked for many years at PROCOLOMBIA encouraging foreign investment in Colombia 🇨🇴.
From large industrial investment to early stage technology investments, Alejandro has an amazing network that he has built over many years.
We are just a few Colombians living in the US committed to investing and supporting the founders who will improve the lives of millions of Latin Americans by building enduring tech companies.
